Foodshed Calculator

The Minnesota foodshed calculator has been created to estimate demand and needed supply for a range of products that are commonly marketed directly to the consumer in Minnesota: fresh fruits, fresh vegetables, common dairy products, eggs, and unprocessed meats. The calculator outputs are only general estimates that describe the market for local farm products and food generally. My intent is that this tool help direct marketers and farm enterprises identify local market opportunities.
